livi appoints Mr. Arthur Chan as Alternate Chief Executive and Chief Risk Officer of the Bank

livi appoints Mr. Arthur Chan as Alternate Chief Executive and Chief Risk Officer of the Bank, responsible for the risk management function. Prior to joining the Bank, Arthur held various management positions in Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited, where he looked after compliance and control of the Personal Banking business. Before BOCHK, Arthur had worked for Standard Chartered Bank and his last position was Group Head, Operational Risk, covering the operational risk of the consumer banking business in over 50 countries. With around 30 years of experience in the industry, Arthur possesses extensive knowledge cutting across different functions such as risk, finance, operations, and internal audit.

Arthur graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and has a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property Law from the University of New South Wales and University of Melbourne respectively. He is also a Fellow of Accountancy bodies in Hong Kong and Australia. In addition to business pursuits, Arthur is active in civic duties.
