Foreign Exchange Risks
RMB / foreign currency investments are subject to exchange rate fluctuations which may provide both opportunities and risks. The fluctuation in the exchange rate of RMB / foreign currencies may result in losses in the event that the customer converts RMB/ foreign currencies into HKD or other foreign currencies. RMB is currently not fully freely convertible. If you choose to convert your foreign currency and RMB deposit to other currencies at an exchange rate that is less favourable than the exchange rate in which you made your original conversion to that foreign currency and RMB, you may suffer loss in principal. Customers should consider and understand the possible impact on their liquidity of RMB funds in advance.
